When the business has evolved and the website has not

Nicole came to us feeling her seven-year-old website no longer reflected what she actually offered.

Her practice had grown and changed. The site had stayed exactly where it started.

Industry: Counselling and therapy, Newtown, Sydney
Work: Copywriting, website design and development, portrait photography, video, hosting and ongoing care

/ theheartofhealing.com.au

The starting point: a practice that had outgrown its own website.

Seven years is a long time for a therapy practice to keep evolving quietly in the background while the website stays frozen. Nicole's work had moved on. Visitors were still meeting an older version of it.

Counselling is an industry where the website carries more weight than most. Someone looking for a therapist reads a page the way you read a face: checking for safety before they commit to anything. If the site feels dated or vague, they quietly move on. Not because the therapist is wrong for them. Because they couldn't feel sure.

The brief was not a redesign for its own sake. It was to work out what she had actually become, and build a site around that.

Position her as the expert, build trust, and let a little personality and energy through, without losing either.

The decisions that mattered

Voice-message discovery,
then copy and design together

Her words, shaped properly

Nicole answered a set of questions by voice message. No forms, no blank-page homework. From that, Creative Baguette wrote the full website copy and designed around it together, so the site reads as her, not as a template with her name on it.

Portrait photography
and video, from her own selfies

A style she already trusted

Using her own reference photos as a starting point, we created a portrait photography style and a video that feels considered and warm rather than corporate.

Nothing broke
underneath

Continuity, not just a new coat of paint

The booking system stayed connected and working, existing SEO carried over rather than resetting to zero, and we added a new blog section for ongoing content.

What shipped: a full site, not a facelift.

The finished site gives Nicole's practice a proper structure: About, Work With Me, My Approach, a Blog and Contact, plus an FAQ section that answers the questions people hesitate to ask. Her specialisations, from complex trauma to nervous-system work, are named plainly instead of hiding behind generic therapy language.

Booking stayed exactly as her clients know it: a free intro call, booked online, with no new admin for Nicole to learn. New portrait photography and video sit through the pages so the person you meet on the site is the person who opens the door in Newtown.

After launch, the site moved onto Creative Baguette hosting with ongoing care, so it never freezes in time again.

The result: freshly launched.

The new site launched in July 2026, within a few weeks of the project starting, and Nicole was genuinely excited to see it live. It is early days, so there are no results to report yet, but the foundations, booking, SEO continuity and a blog to keep building on, are in place. The site is now hosted and looked after by Creative Baguette month to month.

Questions this project usually raises

I hate writing about myself. Can you do the copy?

Yes, and it's often the most valuable part.

Nicole answered a set of questions by voice message and we wrote the full site from that, in her words, shaped properly. No blank-page homework.

Will a rebuild lose my Google rankings?

Not if it's done carefully.

On this project the existing SEO carried over rather than resetting to zero, and the booking system stayed connected throughout. A new site should not mean starting again.

What happens after launch?

The site goes onto a care plan.

Creative Baguette hosts it, keeps it maintained and secure, and sorts simple change requests within two business days. You send a message, we handle it.
